Tawau Hills



Welcome to the Tawau Hills National Park and its many nature and widlide activities. One can go hiking, swimming, climbing and camping.
The park is host to magnificent specimen of both flora and fauna. As one walks along a path, one finds that each plant is carefully named and captioned. On the higher ground the park turns into a thick mossy forest.
In the lower laying land the beautiful orchids and especially the Elephant's Ear Orchid is to be specially looked out for. The Tawau Hills park is a treat for the botanist and a general admirer or flora.

Visible species include the Long-tailed Macaque, Red Leaf Monkey, Gibbon, Maroon Langur, Grey Leaf Monkey, Black, Bushy-crested, Helmeted Rhinoceros,
White-crowned, Wreathed Hornbill, Crested-fireback, Great Argus, Malayan Peacock Pheasant, Tree-Squirrel, Civets-Cat, Leopard-Cat and Clouded Leopard are listed as sighted in the Tawau Hills Park.
However, a sighting of this wildlife is elusive, but who knows which tourist gets lucky.
